COVID-19 Vaccines: Eligibility

All individuals ages 6 months+, regardless of residency status, are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 vaccines are free, regardless of health insurance, and there should be no charges or out-of-pocket costs (like copays or deductibles) regardless of who administers the vaccine.

Individuals who are unsure about eligibility based on age and health—or received the Johnson & Johnson vaccination and are unsure about their eligibility for boosters—are advised to contact the Delaware County Wellness Line at (484) 276-2100 or contact their Primary Care Physician or healthcare provider.

Reminders Regarding Boosters

• You do not need to go back to the same provider to receive your booster dose.
• Many pharmacies and other vaccine providers are ready and able to administer booster doses.

The Delaware County Health Department continues to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics each week. Walk-ins are welcome, however, to ensure vaccine availability, individuals are encouraged to make an appointment in advance. Vaccinations at non-County COVID-19 vaccination clinics, such as those run by CVS, Rite Aid, etc., may require an appointment.

LOST COVID-19 VACCINATION CARDS: WHAT TO DO

If you have lost your COVID-19 vaccination card, the PA Department of Health (PA DOH) will send you a record of your immunizations. Please visit the Pennsylvania Statewide Immunization Information System (PA-SIIS web page) and complete the Authorization for Release of Immunizations Records Form. You will need to upload a copy/image of your Photo I.D.

It is important to note that the PA DOH vaccination record, as well as the CDC vaccination card that individuals receive at the time of their vaccination, are both official proofs of vaccination.

OUR HOMEBOUND COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAM

The Homebound COVID-19 Vaccination Program, started in April of 2021, is a free vaccination service designed to ensure that Delaware County residents that are homebound or are unable to safely leave their residence are still able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses (from the primary 3-dose series) as well as 1st and 2nd boosters are available.

To date, over 2,200 homebound Delaware County residents have been able to receive the vaccine as a result of this program.

The program accommodates both adults and pediatric special populations — parents and caregivers can schedule an appointment for select children, ages 5 – 17.
